Since 1943, Cascade has been providing high-quality attachments and forks that enable lift trucks to sideshift, rotate, tilt and clamp.

For our Swedish subsidiary Booforge Steel AB, located in Karlskoga, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager who will be in charge to lead and manage the Plant’s operations, providing leadership and ensuring compliance with Company objectives.

The position of Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant ensuring compliance of policies and procedures and adhering to the values of the organisation when decision making and problem solving.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Management and development of a high performing Team, through effective coaching, training, and performance management
  • Definition and follow up on plant KPI’s
  • Management of all plant operations, including production, quality control, health & safety, maintenance and logistics
  • Development and implementation of strategies to optimise production efficiency
  • Implementation of strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and the maintenance of a safe working environment
  • Management of employee and local works council topics
  • Budget responsibility
  • Management of financials, supported by the accounting department (business process of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis)

We would like to meet you if:

  • You have a proven track experience as plant manager or similar function (with technical understanding of welding, heat treatment and burning process)
  • You have a proven skills in leadership and supervision (strong team building, decision-making and people management skills)
  • You have a demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles (with proficient in supply management principles and practise)
  • You have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business engineering, or related field
  • You have experience in international business operations
  • You speak English at a professional level
